Haiti Still Needs Our Help!
On January 12th 2010, a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake shook the poorest country of the Western hemisphere, the island of Haiti. Not only was it the worst earthquake on Haiti in living memory, but it was actually the worst on the island for 200 years. The epicentre was approximately ten miles from the densely-populated capital, Port-Au-Prince, where inhabitants were already reeling from recent smaller-scale disasters.
