Switch Off For Earth Hour
Switch off and support WWF’s Earth Hour – 27 March 2010, 8.30pm.
Tonight, 27 March 2010, at 8.30pm, all round the world, lights will go off for one hour in homes, businesses, buildings and landmarks in a graphic demonstration of support for determined international action on climate change.
Please do your bit, by making sure you switch off all your lights at 8.30pm this evening too.
You don’t need to sit in the dark. Have a rummage and dig out some candles and tealights. By 8.30pm, young children should be tucked up in bed, so it could provide the perfect opportunity for a little romance with your other half.
However, please don’t leave candles unattended, and don’t forget to extinguish them later.
Don’t just stop at lights. Take a few minutes to go round your home and switch off everything that is on or on standby unneccessarily.
