I LOVE Fridays, because it is blog hopping time! It’s time to find lots of interesting new blogs and lovely people to follow. I also hope to gain lots of wonderful new followers too!
It’s Good Friday, and I am off work for the next ten days! Yay!
I’ve had an eventful week. On Tuesday I turned up to work to find a sign on the door, telling staff not to go upstairs (where my office is!) There had been a flood upstairs. water was dripping through the ceiling. It was suspected that we had a hole in the roof, and it was feared that the electrics might blow or the ceiling might collapse.
All the people from the upstairs offices had to find available workstations downstairs. It ended up a little bit like musical chairs, but thankfully, with people being off on Easter Holidays, there was just about enough space. I only had to move desks a couple of times, so it wasn’t too disruptive.
It transpired that the leak hadn’t come from a hole in the roof after all. It was actually caused by a burst water tank, which had to be replaced. We were back upstairs yesterday, but the corridor was still stinking of dampness.
Yesterday, on our way to school, one of my daughters tripped and fell, whacking her head off the pavement. Her forehead immediately came out in a big lump and she was screaming. After getting examined by the school First Aider, who gave her an ice pack, I decided that I’d best get her to hospital to get checked out by a doctor. You can never be too careful with a head injury.
Thankfully, after several hours waiting about at hospital, she was given the OK to go back to school. I was advised to keep an eye on her for 48 hours, and was given a note of potential symptoms to watch out for.
Fortunately, she’s been absolutely fine, though she still has a huge “Easter Egg” on her forehead!!
