Here´s today´s little bit of fiction, courtesy of the One-Minute Writer meme.  Today I write about something I feared when I was a child.  I was only about two or three years old, and I was obsessed with this fear.  It had been passed onto me by Mrs Ferguson,our strange neighbour from upstairs, much to my mother´s annoyance.

I let out a shriek as it fell from my tiny hands, and watched in horror as it fell to the floor.  My little lip began to tremble as I stifled a cry.

"It´s okay," said Mummy, "Pick it up."

I just stared at my colourful escaped treasure at my feet until my mummy kindly picked it up for me.

"Here!" she smiled, offering the sweetie back to me.

"No!" I said defiantly.

"It´s okay" she smiled, "It still had the wrapper on.  Here, let me unwrap it for you."

"No!" I shriek, "Germs!"

"But it had the wrapper on!" protests Mummy.

"Germs!" I shout, "Bad germs! Dirty germs!"
