FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY
1. Do you have any nicknames and if so how did it come about?
Yes I have a few variations on the same theme! My name is Annette, so it gets shortened to Netty and I use this as my name of my Mii on the Wii! 
At school I was very thin – incredibly thin! – and so I used to get called Netty Spaghetti, with reference to my ‘spaghetti legs’! This was preferable to my other nickname at school – Hector Spector the Four-eyed Projector or Specky for short! – This was of course referring to the fact that I wore glasses! (Children can be so cruel!!)
Sticking with the spectacle theme, my friend Liz affectionately calls me Annetticles! LOL 
Hubby sometimes calls me Netsy, my friend Oi Hang sometimes calls me Netta, and former colleagues used to call me Nutty Netty!!
2. What is your birth order amongst your siblings?
I am the firstborn, and therefore got the toughest time from my parents, while growing up! My (one and only!) wee sister got an easy ride! She’s six years younger than me, so by the time she was a teenager my parents had mellowed somewhat. I mean she was allowed to go on holiday to Lanzarote at seventeen with her sixteen-year-old friend on their own!?! I can just imagine asking my parents to allow me to holiday abroad with my friend at that age!…..Not!!
Interestingly, my hubby is also a firstborn, wheras my sister’s hubby is the youngest! Weird coincidence or what?
3. In a movie of your life, who would play your significant other?
Ooooh!! I’d love to say Daniel Craig!! However, more than a few people have commented on the similarily between Hubby and Woody Harelson!! (I’ll need to get a wee Photoshop thing to illustrate this at some point!! LOL)

“Pack Up” by Eliza Doolittle is my fave track in the UK charts at the moment. I just can’t stop myself from singing along to it! 
5. Are you saving your money for anything right now? Big or small purchase?
Yes I am, or rather I hope to be, but in a back to front fashion! I NEED a new desktop PC, cos my laptop is ancient at 4.5yrs-old and my newer netbook is useless!! :S I’m starting a new uni course in a few weeks time, and I will need a decent computer to work on. However, I can’t afford to splash out that amount of cash upfront, so…… I’ve come up with a cunning plan…. Dell are offering a Buy Now Pay Later (interest free!!) deal on some of their computers and I’ve got my eye on a desktop package at just over £700. This special offer is simply too good to miss! I NEED that computer!! It just means I’ll be saving in reverse, rather than paying interest on credit!

1I loved your answers to the questions. I did think some of your nicknames were cute , and of course some not. Kids can be so cruel. It makes me made when I meet kids like that because I always taught my kids to find the kid being made fun of and become their friend.
