Rise in youngsters at Open University
I am currently looking into upgrading my degree to Honours, to give me the option of doing a post graduate course in the future. I will either be studying at Glasgow Caledonian University one night per week or via distance learning with the Open University.
Studying at Glasgow Caledonian would mean that I would have close contact with tutors and fellow students. However, it would mean that I would have to commit myself to travelling into Glasgow after work one night a week, every week.
Studying via Open University would allow me flexibility to study at home at a time that suits me. However, it could be isolating and I would need to be very disciplined.
I noticed an article about the rising popularity amongst young people of The Open University.
The number of young people taking Open University courses has seen a sharp rise, the educational body says.
