It’s been a while since I participated in Girls Talk over at The Beauty Queen Gene. This week it’s about the piece of clothing that you cannot live without during the summer season.

Friday night is Games Night in the Kerr household. We like to alternate between traditional board games and our Wii console.
A particular family favourite of ours is Wii Party. Here’s a taste why… (more…)

Today is World Water Day. As a member of Bloggers Unite, I’d like to take this opportunity to ask you to stop and consider how much water you use on an average day.
Here’s an approximation of how much water I’ve used today: (more…)
I’ve just signed up for the Midnight Tiara Walk for Strathcarron Hospice on Saturday 8th May 2010. I will take to the streets of Stirling on the stroke of midnight to embark on a sponsored 10 mile walk to raise funds for the hospice.
If you live in the Central Scotland area, why not join me? You can register online here, but hurry, places are limited! Last year, I was gutted because the event was closed to entrants by the time I found out about it!
I was delighted to discover that I’d lost 2.5 lbs on the second week of my diet, which means that I’ve lost 7 lbs in two weeks – that’s half a stone!
My class was absolutely mobbed on Thursday night! It was queued out the door when I arrived sharply at 7pm for my weigh-in. I asked a few of my fellow dieters in the queue, whether this was especially busy or not. It was certainly the busiest I’ve seen it out of my three visits. Everyone agreed that it was an exceptionally busy night.
Just a short post to update you on my first weigh-in at my slimming club.
I gingerly mounted the scales last night and held my breath…
Well, it’s been a week now, since I joined my local slimming club, and I’ve been following the diet meticulously. I think I’ve done okay, and it hasn’t been too difficult.
When I told Hubby I was joining a slimming club, his response was:
“You just need to cut down a bit and exercise more!”
When I came off the contraceptive pill several years ago, my doctor advised me to start taking Folic Acid straight away. I heeded her advice, and took the supplement daily until I found out I was pregnant (several months later). I then switched to pregnancy supplement, Pregnacare.
At my 12-week scan I was delighted to discover that I was expecting twins! My midwife prescribed Folic Acid and Iron tablets which, thanks to our wonderful NHS in the UK, I received free of charge throughout the rest of my pregnancy. Thus, I no longer had to buy the branded supplement, Pregnacare.
Hi everyone!
Thanks for stopping by to check on my diet progress.
Yesterday was the last day of my 28-day detox diet, and today I moved onto the maintenance diet. I can now eat lean meat, poultry, white & oily fish, wholemeal bread and low-fat dairy.
I’m happy to report that I have lost 8.5lbs on the detox diet. I would, perhaps, have liked to have lost more. However, I’m confident that I will continue losing weight, as I follow the maintenance diet.

Thanks for stopping by on Day 26 of my 28-day detox diet. I’m almost at the end of the ‘detox proper’. Come Thursday, I will be going onto the Maintenance Diet.
I’ll be following the Maintenance Diet right up until Christmas, with a break at the end of November, when I go to Dublin for a Hen Weekend. (There’s no way I’d be able to stick to a detox diet that weekend! LOL)

Thanks for stopping by on Day 23 of my 28-day detox diet.
Last night I went out for dinner with my best friend, Audrey. We are both busy ladies and don’t get to see each other as much as we’d like to, so I didn’t want to postpone our get-together just because I’m on this detox diet.
We dined at the wonderful Riverhouse Restaurant on Stirling’s Waterfront. It’s a favourite restaurant for us. The food is delicious, and the service is great. The location is ideal for us too, as it is quite central for us, with us both living at opposite ends of Stirlingshire, and with being close to the motorway.
