I’ve discovered a new meme! Tortie Tuesdays at The Beaded Tail.
It’s a great way to share photos of our lovely tortoiseshell cat, Heidi!

This week’s Girl’s Talk has another Shopaholic theme, and this time it’s all about housewares / homewares. What items of homeaware do I like to browse and buy?
Halloween is almost upon us! Have you got your costume organised? Do you have your spooky decorations up? Is your cupboards stocked with Halloween goodies for *guisers coming to your door this weekend?
Today, I’d like to share a couple of Halloween freebies with you: (more…)
Burst pipe. No heating. Household chaos.
What’s Easter without an egg hunt?
My five year old twins look forward to their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Hubby and I like to hide a mixture of decorated hard-boiled eggs, chocolate eggs and other Easter novelties around our back garden. However, living in Scotland, we have once had to resort to Plan B and hide the eggs around the house instead, because it was a wet and windy Easter Sunday.
This week’s MckLinky theme is to share a favourite recipe. I thought I’d share one of my favourite dishes with you. It’s Pasta Al ‘Arrabiata with a morish meaty twist! I love adding smoked sausages to a hot and spicy Arrabiata sauce. You can use whatever pasta takes your fancy. I like to use fusilli or penne.

Another week, another Mamma Guilt Monday.
Today, Mamma Kerr is eating humble pie.
Yesterday, I turned the house upside down looking for my daughter’s shoe. The girls were getting ready to go to a Birthday Party and they needed to put on their shoes. My heart sank when I realised that there were just three shiny black shoes lying in the corner of the livingroom.
On closer inspection, I found that we had 2 size 9′s and only one size 8, so it was Rachel’s shoe that was missing. (Yes, my twin girls have different sized feet!)
The MckLinky Blog Hop theme for this Monday is “Snow Pics and Stories“. With many places getting their “once every hundred years snow”, MckLinky thought it would be fun to see our snow pics and hear about the snow in our areas.
I live in Scotland, UK, and we have experienced our coldest winter in more than a generation. The British media has dubbed this winter as “The Big Freeze“.
I’ve never really been a big fan of bees. I actually have a phobia of creepy crawlies, bees, wasps, etc. Since becoming a parent five and a half years ago, I have had to conquer this phobia somewhat. I certainly don’t want to pass on my irrational fears to my daughters. Therefore, I have developed nerves of steel when confronted by the little critters.
Still, it would have been quite inconceivable ten or so years ago, for me to consider writing an article about saving bees. However, that is what I am finding myself doing today, as part of a campaign on Bloggers Unite.
