I’ve not participated in Working Mommy Wednesday for several weeks, as I took a wee break from blogging and blog hopping to concentrate on  my final exams at university.  Now that my studying is out the way, I’m delighted to be back, taking part in one of my favourite blog memes.

The Working Mommy Wednesday prompt for Wednesday 11th May 2011 is:

Do you typically run early, on time, or late?

I always start out with the fullest attention to be early but, more often than not, I end up struggling to be on time. Sometimes, but not too often, I am late!

I find myself forever, shouting…

“Hurry up! We’re gonna be late!”

… to my daughters every day!  Thay take forever to get up in the morning (well, school mornings anyway – weekends don’t seem to be a problem for some reason!  LOL)  Once up, they need constant prodding to get moving:

“Hurry up and go to the toilet!”

“Hurry up and get washed!”

“Hurry up and get dressed!”

“Hurry up and eat your breakfast!”

“Hurry up and get your teeth brushed!”

“Hurry up and get your jackets on!”

“Hurry up!  We’re gonna be late!”

“Hurry!  Hurry!  HURRY!!”

I am so sick of saying it ALL the time!

It’s not entirely the fault of my daughters though!  I should really get out my bed earlier in the mornings, and I should be more organised by preparing the lunches the night before.  I should really wake the girls up half an hour earlier!

Perhaps, now that I am no longer having to juggle my part-time studies with my full-time job and family commitments, I’ll be better able to multi-task and…

… BE ON TIME!!…  Maybe!?…;)

The second pic is Sophie, who still had all her top teeth at the time! She also had no front teeth at Christmas!

My Most Annoying Celebrity

Nadya Suleman AKA Octomom really annoys me!  I think she’s an attention-seeking freak, whose selfish indulgence of her baby addiction is a disservice to all her children.  She is pompous, deluded and self-obsessed.

Just when I thought I’d seen it all, I came across this story today:

Hubby and I work hard to support our two children.  Sure, we’d love more children, but we haven’t the time, space and money to do it!  However, this single, unemployed woman decides to have fertility treatment again and again until she ends up with FOURTEEN kids!!  She lives in a lovely big house in a good area, and has a team of nannies to help raise her brood.  She justifies turning her home and family into a freak show by claiming she needs to make money to feed her children.  Well, IMHO, she should’ve thought of that BEFORE getting impregnated again, and again and AGAIN!!  :O

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a great Christmas!?  I had a lovely time with the family!  However, all good things come to an end, and I was back to work today.

I took a complete break from my websites over the holidays, but I’m now ready to get back into the swing of things!!

#2. Biggest challenge for the new year

• Work – Managing changes and challenges presented due to budget pressures in the public sector.
• Study - I have two modules to study this simester, which will finally conclude my degree course.  I will be attending university every Monday and Tuesday evening for twelve weeks (on top of working full-time!) – I know it’ll be tough going, but it’ll be so worth it when I graduate this summer!
• Blog – I really want and need to re-vamp this blog!  I have so many ideas but too little time to make them come to fruition.
• Writing- Once I complete my degree I want to concentrate on my writing.  I have several ideas for novels, which I’d like to develop.

The worry you feel while pregnant is NOTHING compared to the worry you feel once the baby actualy arrives!

In the early days, major achievements will include getting dressed, having a bath/shower, having a proper meal, never mind getting a couple of hours sleep!

Whenever you and your partner manage to spend some “quality time” together, you’ll find that your ONLY topic of conversation will be your ‘little darling’.

For the next couple of years, you will be obsessed by ‘poo’: frequency, consistency, colour, etc…

Becoming a parent leads you to a better understanding of your own parents.

You will soon find that you are turning into your own mother!! You will be mortified to hear yourself dish out the same old phrases that she said to you, such as: “I’m not going to tell you again.”; “Because I say so!” and “Remember, Santa Claus is watching you!”
