The Australian Government is to issue guidelines advising parents and carers to prevent children under two years old from watching television.
One of my favourite TV programmes, when I was a child, was Bagpuss. I absolutley adored Bagpuss – the most important, the most beautiful, the most magical, saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world. I loved the endearing stories, the magical characters and the silly songs from the programme, but most importantly I loved that saggy old cloth cat!
Well, I was absolutely thrilled this week, when I found out that Bagpuss is set for a TV comeback. Production companyCoolabi, who have held the distribution and merchandising rights to Bagpuss for several years, have now struck a deal with the programme’s creators to make a new series of the much-loved animation.
