Forget Delia, Nigella or Jamie this year and try this cake recipe, but make sure you follow the instructions very very carefully …… It works for me!

* 2 cups flour
* 1 stick butter
* 1 cup of water
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1 cup of sugar
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 cup of brown sugar
* Lemon juice
* 4 large eggs
